    Crazy Angler Shipping Charge

I ordered $73 worth of chenille this week. Shipping was $10.50 plus $1.00 handling fee. That's more than 15% of purchase. Chenille isn't heavy and doesn't require a large box. In my opinion that's a bit steep for shipping. The prices have gone up a good bit as well.

    Water Chickens

Since Roadrunner is a bad word I've been spending some time tying water chickens. It's been so cold here I already have spring fever. Can't wait to get these in the water.

    Camping trip pics

More pics from camping trip. We managed a shady campsite for a change. This is Crawford State Park in Kansas. Some of you may have been here before. The walleye and catfish we caught were all right in front of the grass on the point. The smaller bluegill were caught nearly every cast near the...

    Sold on the wool

Finally had a weekend free from baseball tournaments and rain. Took my son on a camping trip and he tried out his new float tube for the first time. After reading all the posts about the wool jigs, I decided to tie up a couple. Will definitely being tying more after work today. We caught...

    Oh no, not Bass Jigs

I have been seeing some fantastic jigs and fish pictures here the last couple months. Don't have much time for posting much anymore. Lately I have been sucked into the depths of bass jigs. Officially it's not jig tying since no tying is involved. I will say it is a completely new addiction...

    3D EYES and Flash

Wanted to give you a heads up on some great deals on ebay right now. Several sizes of 3D eyes in red, gold, and silver as well as Krystal Flash. These are from overseas, and I would rather support the made in the USA materials, but I would imagine most of this material sold here isn't made here...

Saturday evening trip with the boy and kiptails

Had a great time this evening with Tyler catching hybrid bluegill, bass, crappie, and the Pond Monster on red and chartreuse kip tails. Wow! Awesome evening. Catching fish nearly every cast. But.... none for the table. Catch and release in the "test pond".:P

    Couple of Thompson Vises

As a collector/hoarder of various fishing items/crap, I recently stumbled upon a couple of older Thompson vises. I really like the mottled one on the right as the appearance strikes me as cool. The one on the left is a bit plain, and I don't think either box is marked correctly, but I tied a few...

    Rainy Day Sili-Chubs

Getting our fair share of rain as usual for Spring Break. Went out to the shop to try out some sili tails that I rarely use. These turned out better than expected. 1/16 oz. chubs have a good profile and looks like I'll have plenty of time to play tomorrow with the rain staying around. I hope...

    My field testers

Today I took Tyler and his buddy James to test out some new colors from this morning. Kip and ducks today. They both performed well. Those boys caught about 25 fish today. Quite a variety too! James doesn't fish much but that bass sure made him grin. Good times!

    Powder coating weedless jigs??

A friend of mine has a handful of raw 3/8 oz. bass jigs with fiber weedguards. Can these be powder painted or would it be a hassle? Using a heat gun for heat source and don't know if the guards would melt or be able to withstand curing in the oven.

    Some new ones

I don't have much time in the evenings to see what you guys and gals have been up to, or to post any pics. But... bought a laptop and it's so awesome! Sit in my recliner while the wife watches this Bachelor garbage.:beat-up: A few Ultra Minnows, attempted some duck jigs, and new colors I have...
