Jighead "Actual" weights w/my molds

Here are results of my jigheads poured with pure pig lead and Matzuo hooks. I weighed 10 of each size at a time and took an average. I also made a "scale" showing actual weights equaling grams.

1/64=.44g
1/48=.59g
1/32=.88g
1/24=1.18g
1/16=1.77g
3/32=2.65g
1/8=3.54g
1/4=7.08g
NOW THE HEADS
1/16 Ponyhead no collar=2.50g
1/32 Ponyhead no collar=1.21g
1/8 Eye Socket Walleye w/collar=4.27g

1/16 Eye Socket Walleye w/ collar=2.14g

There are many more but you get the idea. I too have had a customer that ordered 1/32oz. jigs and then emailed me saying he weighed them on a Rapala fish scale and they were too heavy. Seriously.... a fish scale..... some people have nothing better to do than complain I suppose. I told him to send them back for a refund. Never heard from him again. Anyhow, tie your jigs, have fun, and enjoy yourself. If you like selling them and it turns into a second full time job it's time to shut it down!! Have a great weekend.:beer:

I weigh a lot of my jigs as well. That customer was probably sold 1/64 that was advertised as 1/32, then you send the right size and they are too heavy. Rapala fish scale, really???? I wouldn't trust weights on scales like that, especially jigs.

the whole "second fulltime job" part... im feeling it... once a hobby has become a monster. no advertising only word of mouth and I keep busy. one of the major retailers wants them for next year and im having second thoughts already. nice breakdown on the weights. and lololol to the rapala scale!

Hobby goes mad thing is what got me in my last fix . So now I help folks do what I can do but rarely do I post so they can see for sure . Word travels next thing like Bucko a large volume dealer gets you to do his stuff after that the heat is on . You will wind up the only elf in the kitchen and the fire is so hot you won't be able to get sleep .

Thanks for posting the weight chart you made. I have weighed a lot of my jigs but never on a fish scale
