I like the crawdad in the other thread, but I"m wondering if anyone has tried smaller crawdad jigs for crappie? I clean lots of em with crayfish in their bellies, but I wouldn't know where to start to tie one on say #4 hook .

Most of the jigs I use have two different colors. Just take for example, Black/Purple. If that color is working good, you think its that color combo, or is it one of the colors that would probably work on any jig. Like maybe Chartruse/Purple on the same day. I don't pour jig heads, so I buy mine from different places. I noticed a couple different threads where you fellers made some of the slider jigs. They are very cool, and I'd love to try a couple of em. Anybody know where a fella could get a dozen or so in 1/16 oz?

I really like the wooly bugger chenelle like you can get from barlows, but they only offer a light "flourescent blue", and I am looking for a darker kindda of a "Ford Blue", anybody got any ideas where to look? Thanks.
