I was wondering what eastcoast steelheaders and trout fisherman threw as far as jigs go. Colors, head size, hook size, and if there is any restrictions as far as hooks go over there.
3/8 oz speckled pink and purple head with owner 1x 3/0 hook,3D eyes with hot pink and purple bucktail wrapped with black chenille. These jigs are very popular over here in the northwest for steelhead on the columbia and snake rivers.
:D1/8 oz pearl white head, white schlappen for the body, pearl flashabou, white krystal hackle for the collar and three single plastic beads for the dingle in this jig.
Here's a few 1/16 oz twin tail rabbit jigs for steelhead out west. These are killer and have the movement to prove it. Just a little flashabou and some kystal hackle to make them really jump off.
Alright everyone here's some patterns mainly for steelhead but check em out and let me know what you guys think.
First jig is a double beaded rabbit tail in a 1/8 oz
second jig is a single bead rabbit tail with dumbbell eyes 1/32 oz
third jig is a bug eyed rabbit jig with dumbbell eyes 1/32 oz...
