Hi fellows - I know that Ledhed has a great Thomas Vise collection and I thought you guys would be interested in seeing this unusual Thomas model. It has a semi-circular green painted stem and an aluminum clamp that both swivels and locks on indents as well as allows you to attach the stem to the forward facing clamp plate allowing for a vertical rather than horizontal clamping mechanism.

have never seen a Thomas like that - tried to find an old catalouge of vises and can't. Don't know if they were ever listed in the Herter's catalouge or not. Weird!!

What a SCORE! I'm familiar with the head but not the stem or clamp. Do you know if the stem color is original? Where did you find this gem?
