Basic mixing chart..

To Make: Mix:
Aqua: Add a small amount of Blue to Green
Coral : Add a small amount of Yellow to Pink
Dusty Rose: Add a small amount of Black to Red
Light Tan: Add a small amount of Black to Orange
Magenta : Add a small amount of Red to Wine
Brown: Add a small amount of Blue to Orange
Moss Green: Add a small amount of Red to Green
Gray: Add a small amount of Black to White
Pink: Add a small amount of Red to White
Purple: Add a small amount of Blue to Red
Teal Green: Add a small amount of Black to Green
Wine: Add a small amount of Red to Purple
Lime: Add a small amount of Green to Yellow
Turquoise: Add a small amount of Green to Blue

Rad, I'm following your chart some but I'm having a little trouble with a couple. First. is it possible to be more specific when you say "a small amount" of a color added to another color? Is there a ratio you use or just add some, shake it up & test, if it's not right, add more, shake, test.

Thanks FM. I think I'll get a # of Rosey's Pearlescent White if I decide to squeeze in 1 more order before the sale ends.

I've learned through the guys that mixing is not an exact science. I tried for a long time to get a teal color and while it looked good in the jar it didn't look good on the jig. Then I traded for some of the Translucent Candy Teal and I really like it.

The 2 on the left are Ele. Blue & Candy Orange, I gave both a base of Sky White which really helped with the Candy Orange.

Here's the same Candy Orange without the white base. I think it's too transparent

......also lost my Floro. Orange i made up........

Chartruese:pink:Clear - mixed 1:1:1
Using Janns Netcraft paint which i believe is the same as Pro-Tech.

Make a super bright orange color.

Don't really think the clear is needed in this but have been using pretty small (1/8 tsp) units to mix and a little clear helps make a bigger mix. Adding more clear might let the lead color show through and change the overall color. ;)

AF, I used your 1-1-1 mix and it's just what I was looking for. Thanks!

Have to go back and look at that one - Chartreuse (yellow or green) pink (fl. pink???)

This mix is on page 3 of this thread. I used TJ's Flourescent Pink, TJ's Chartreuse Yellow and Rosey's High Gloss Clear, equal parts of each. The mix probably has more of the clear in it as I had already cut both my pink & my chartreuse with some clear. Anyway, it's the orange I wanted.

In one of my brand new little mixing cups;
2 Heaping tsp High Gloss Clear
1/2 Heaping tsp Candy Orange
1/2 Heaping tsp Traffic Red
1/4 Heaping tsp Gloss Black

The Red Sickle Jig on the right is Crazy Angler's Ruby Slipper

Thanks FM. After seeing it blown up in this post, I came to the same conclusion. Next dip should be better. Also, I don't have Flame Red so I used Traffic Red. The color looks real close but I thought a pinch of black might darken it a bit.
