Moving again n cldnt pack this up without experiment. This'n is a close match to Heaths'. Kinda.
Only reason i didn't just throw it in a container is bc of his post of his mix.
Dunno any ratios bc it was a bunk'd mix that clumped from way earlier that resembled his base coloring. Just added bunches of clear n red n gold glitter and its on. Plan on making some craw colors with it.

The paint I started with was an old HF mix of red n yellow with a touch if black. I never wrote anything down back then. It was close to heaths' rust color. I just added a 3/4 tsp of it, a 1/8 tsp of blaze orange, 1 1/2 tsp clear and a heap of glitter.
Someone translate that into a ratio for a lowly brain on the lost totem pole.

But what would be the ratio of just the paint w/o the clear?
6:1?
Since it takes (6) eighths to make (1) 3/4?
Ha. I dunno.

We would first need to know your exact quantities of the HF Red,and yellow and black ;)

but yes,if you take your original mix as a "color" ,you mixed a 6-1 ratio of it, to the blaze orange,,, :t-up:

Crap. I got a bunch of unknowns and it only grows from there.....
Crazy the mystery that can come from four lowly Harbor Freight paints.

It seems we like to make up alot of varations of red.... maybe there is some un-spoken truth in that???

Here is another red mix that i use alot both for completely red jigheads and also use it for gill or nose area. The red glitter in the mix is one of the things that makes this one pop and there are 2 different sizes of silver holo glitter from the pre-mix and the craft glitter. Is a 'candy' type of color so will let the base show through some. Looks great on shiny heads and blades........

Candy Flame Spark:
1.0 - Flame Red
3.0 - Clear/Silver Holo glitter pre-mix
3.0 - Clear/Red glitter pre-mix
0.5 - Silver Holo. straight craft glitter

To match the old ProTec powder you may need a clear coat with glitter in it, the new Baby bass color from them is NOT the same as it was before.

I don't think you'll get there with chartreuse. You can try 3 parts yellow to 1 part black (use a 1/8 of a teaspoon or less), shake it up and you'll get a brighter Olive color, If it comes out the shade you want then your set on the base color. Next you'd need a clearcoat with glitter in it as a second coat. Mixing glitter in with the regular powder is a gamble most times and it's way cheaper to use a clearcoat with the glitter as you can use it on other colors also.

Here's a color I call peaches. The recipe is leave your paints out and go downstairs to make supper, if your 4 year old daughter isn't making noise for more than 10 minutes its working! If your lucky when you go back up at least 50% is in a container of some kind! Enjoy your new color and be glad that someday they might be interested in doing it with ya.

On a more serious note. Here's a pea green.
1 part white, 1 part yellow, 1 part pearl and 3 parts John Deere green or similar.
