    The Wig Jig

I got a couple of Halloween wigs from Wal Mart and since they didn't fit, I decided to tie jigs with them LOL There's not much action in the water, but for slow trolling or spider rigging it should do fine.

    Enid Lake, MS

I recently made a trip to Enid Lake, in northwest MS, with a fishing buddy SteveJ. We took my camper and boat and stayed 4 nights. C.com had a "fall camp" there on Sept. 11th. This is where the world record white crappie was caught in 1957, 5 lbs 3 oz.. We didn't catch anything like that but we...

    Guess I'm a Business Now

I've been tying so much lately, I had to figure out a way to get rid of some so I could tie some more. JUNGLEJIM1 gave me an idea about making a deal with a local bait shop. I printed out some packaging on the computer and packaged up 40 packs of 4. I went to the neighborhood bait store and he...

    Saltwater Neck Hackle

I was told about using the saltwater hackle instead of regular neck hackle because the feathers are so much wider. I ordered some and really like it. Now I use one feather per jig where I was using two or three. I cut about two inches of the tip off then cut the vien of the feather every 1/4...

    Crankbait Victims

It was a little cooler, or should I say, not as hot this morning so we pulled some crankbaits. We came home with 29 keepers, enough to fill up my ironing board cleaning table.

    A Gator Tale

Mon. morning after we got through fishing, I stopped by the office of Twitley Branch Campground at Okatibbee Res. to talk to a buddy, Randal, who works there. He told me a story I wanted to share. He said that on Sat. morning, two couples were drinking coffee outside their campers and were...

    Jig Boxes

I went to Wal Mart and got some "Sterilite" brand name boxes with lids. Then I cut a swimming noodle lengthwise and glued the pieces in the boxes. Now I can sitck my jigs in there and they're not getting tangled up in my tackle box, plus the feathers stay straight.

    Crankbait Ninja Strikes Again

Steve, Wayne and I pulled cranks for about 4 hrs. this morning. It was a little slower bite today and we caught a bunch of "dinks". We wound up with 25 keepers and had a great time. My mug with a couple of the better ones. And the best pic of all.

    Finally Got Some Saddle Hackle

It works better than neck hackle for palmering just like everyone told me. I had these 3 tied up about 10 min. after the mail ran. LOL

I'm still practicing on the palmered jigs. Thanks to the help of some of you, I think it's coming together. I've still got to get some saddle hackle but I did these with neck hackle.

    A New One

I haven't posted any jig pics in a while, but I was tying up some today and thought this one looked neat. 1/8 oz fish head from RonDon that I nail polished. Black zonker and natural cross-cut.
