I think it would be helpful to have one running post or recipe book of sort, dedicated to cool colors you created while mixing powder paint. It would need some pretty exact details, like amounts, who makes it, and specific colors. Everyone seems to be a mixologist these days...lol. What do you think?

Tried to re-create the motor oil to give a little better formula...

Did two mixes to show what ratio's can do.Both of these are two of my favorite head colors..Both mixes are small batch but you can expand if you want larger quantities..

2 part=1/4 tsp

Motor Oil
2 part chart florescent
1 part orange
3 tsp clear
4 colors glitter,blue,yellow,holo chart,red

Good looking colors . Think I'm going to try my postal scale to see if I can mix by weight . It will weigh 0.1 oz at a time . I figure we all have those little medicine cups . That ought to work for across the board weight containers.

Rad,
On your motor oil. A couple of questions if you wouldn't mind answering them.

#1 Your chartreuse fluorescent, is that yellow chartreuse?
#2 Orange color is that fluorescent orange or just orange
#3 What type of glitter is that, powder red glitter and did you mix all the ingredients together and then paint.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

Rad,
Thank You very much for your responses to my questions. Couple last questions

#1 When you mix all the ingredients, do you then put it all in the oven to bake even with the glitter on?
#2 On the glitter is there a name brand by chance, so I don't buy the wrong one? I assume it is heat resistant? I do have a Hobby Lobby by me so I won't have a problem with that.

Thanks again.

...and as a follow up to that question - :D

#1.1 Do you decrease the temp and bake for longer with the glitter? Read this on another site and just wasn't sure how it would cure. They said to drop temp to 250 and bake for 25 mins. That is for the stuff that is not listed as 'heat resistant' glitter anyway... not the stuff that is already mixed in with some of the powder.

I won't speak for Rad, but I get my glitter at hobby lobby as well. Never had any issues baking..... I don't recall the name I bought the variety packs on a card.

2-parts HF yellow
2-part HF Red
1-part clear
Sprinkled in some black to my liking and added some glitter

Feel free to +/- clear to your liking....

This was baked at regular temp, I have had no issues with baking the glitter.

Rad,
OK I got all my colors. Below are my ratios do they make sene to you.
(2) parts of yellow chartreuse
(1/2 ) part of red
(1/2 ) part of orange
The 1/2 part of each red and orange will make your orange correct?

What type of clear are you using? Is that a powder paint?

Thanks again for the help.

PS......Guys I found the glitter at Hobby Lobby. Thanks

Heath is right on the orange...One thing Cad,ive not had any luck getting the glitter to show through in just a paint mix...I think you need to have the clear, but play with it and let us know how it works..
