We have 7 for this swap which means send in 7 sets of jigs to make it easier on the host. Yes, you will get 1 set back.

Ok folks, unless Plateboater jumps up in the next 24 hours, I gues I'll get Swap #26 up & running! For a theme, let's tie our BEST COLD WATER "CRAPPIE" catcher. That's COLD water, not hard (frozen), & lets go with 1/8oz or smaller. Colors & materials to suit yourself, just so's it'll put a crappie in the box. As many as want to join, can and for less than 15, we'll tie 2 jigs each. For 15 tier's or more, 1 jig tied will be sufficient. Signup is open until Monday, November 10th and let's please have all jigs in my hands by Tuesday, November 25. If this is accomplished, I'll have all jigs packed & mailed by Monday, December 1st.
Please, everyone that signs up, follow the Swap packaging procedures. http://www.jigcraft.com/jigcraft/showthread.php?tid=209
Remember, it's the jig(s) you're most likely to catch a crappie with when you're wearing your Winter Woolies!

I will jump in as well. Cold water is just around the corner. Right now, the air has been colder than the water up here. Usually means back to straight up simple kip and thread neck ties. Hmm..... what to tie, what to tie.

Had to put a little blue and white on them to give my Royals some luck. If they win you can be assured of those colors being used in this tie

Kdog, from the looks of the sign-up list, you made PLENTY! I know in my part of the country, COLD water is about like TAP water to the rest of you but on Lake Palestine, this combination has KILLED some crappie every late Fall/Winter fishing over fairly deep water under 1 particular bridge at mid-lake. I'm tying a 1/16oz on a #2 sickle and a 1/32oz on a #4 sickle as I like to fish them tandem (1/16oz on bottom & 1/32oz about a foot up on top).

Pepop.
I know my defintion of cold water is a bit different than yours... Around here until it becomes hard water, the key is slow and deep. Some sunny days the fish may come up a bit but after november, it is rare to catch fish above 10' deep 20 is more realistic and 30 - 50 is the norm for me. Although I am in Walleye mode and will be until spring, we catch a lot of crappie in deep water on blades and Jigging raps. and I am talking bih blades and raps 3/4 - 7/8 oz.

Gonna try later on using some jigs for just crappie as I pretty much know where they like to hang out in the winter. Some days walleye just get lockjaw and refuse to even move or look at a scrumptious offering. Then out of the blue, the light goes on and they hit anything for 15 - 20 mintues. Then retire for another day, makes for a frustrating day if you miss the bite.
