    Trokar jig hooks

I used them quite a bit last year, only wish they made the jig hooks in a smaller size. You won't find a sharper hook and they are made here in the states. Tackle Warehouse is having a sale on them, 15 for $5. xx, about $.35 which is Gamakatsu prices in places. If they are still on sale I'm...

    NEW AGE CHENILLE

I'm looking for a certain color someone might have just laying around. I believe it's called Kaleidoscope and I have a couple small pieces in  size 5 but would take  a smaller size. This is a hot, hot color for trout in California and I have a customer begging for it, wants 100 jigs and I'm out...

    Painting spoons & blades

I bought some brass spoons cheap awhile back and was curious how they would look with the new glitters called Liquid Diamonds that I've been working with. The two main colors that I've been working with are Chameleon Sparkle and Galaxy so far. I've been mixing it with about 90% clear with a...

    Some jig pics

Just some random recent ties, haven't posted many pics lately. Last picture is of one of my Bearded dragons, Sheila.

    Craft hair jigs

I use these a lot in early and late parts of the year for crappie and bass. Bubble gum color plastics worked best Saturday on really windy, cloudy day so made a few of those as well as some other colors with the walleye head in 1/16 and 3/32 with #2 sickles and Gamakatsus. Files on my phone are...

    Chatterbait/ bladed swim jigs

I've been hooked on these baits the past few weeks. It started when I found a 1/8oz chatterbait that I bought a few years ago and came across it while looking for something else. I took off the rubber skirt and tied it using a combination of crosscut rabbit, rabbit zonkers and silicone rubber...

    Rain, rain and more rain

We've been getting hammered this past week with record rainfall, still raining with more still coming. We've lost fish hatcheries, several bridges and who knows what else. Don't know how much we've gotten but we've gotten a few months worth in less than a week. Wife can't get to work because...

    Bucket list hybrid stripers

I had never caught a hybrid striper before and since they stocked them in a couple lakes close by I added them to my bucket list. Rivers have been high from recent heavy rains so thought I'd try a tributary of the Meramec River about 20 minutes from my house for bass and maybe a walleye. I had...

    Crafty Underspins

I found some Trokar jig hooks reasonably priced so picked up some 4/0's and poured some on these 3/16 Herring underspins. Used some new eyes that I got in as well. I have been having good success with craft hair jigs with the warmer than normal winter we've been having so decided to make these...

    New toys for 2017

Before the lakes froze over here they had been really clear and I've been dying to see what's hiding under the docks at a couple lakes so I purchased a GoPro 5 Session a couple days ago off the internet. Once I figure out how to use it and the lakes unfreeze I'll be taking it out to see what's...

    FINESSE/ NED RIG BUCKTAIL JIGS

Got a new 2017 mold and poured and tied some up.  I think these are 1/16 and 3/32 on #1 mustad ultrapoint hooks.

    Some tip up jigs

Got this mold recently so I did some pouring and tying the last few days. I like how these look. 1/8, 3/16 and 1/4 poured on 2/0 Owners. These hooks are from a special run and I got them off ebay. They have a heavier wire than the 5318's so shouldn't break these.

    Last trip of 2016

I got out for a couple hours on New Years eve. Chilly and breezy but lake was ice free so gave it a shot. Last bluegill and crappie of 2016. Caught them on an old reliable 1/64 float n fly on a #8 sickle. Supposed to be 50 tomorrow so will try to get 2017 off and running in the right direction...

    1/16 Herring Underspins

Really like the new underspin mold. Here's a few of the ties I've made the last few days using #2 and #4 sickles. Blades are #0 Indiana, some are painted.  Last one 's are 3/32 with a #1 EC 574.

    A FEW HERRING UNDERSPINS

These are 1/4 oz on 2/0 owner or mustad hooks. Tied these for walleye but haven't tried them yet since crappie and trout have been biting to well.

    Trout Flashers

These have been smoking stocker rainbows  that they put in some lakes here once the water cools down. Simple tie using rabbit hair or marabou with a few wraps of palmer chenille around the collar. Black and gold or gray white have been the best colors on 1/24 heads and #6 hook.

    Float n fly"s

This is about all I use the last couple of weeks. 1/80 and 1/64 chubs with #8 lil nasty hooks have been the best in chartreuse on sunny days and pink shades on cloudy days. Fishing them 1.5- 3 foot deep around brushpiles with a weighted floats. Catching mostly crappie from 8-11 inches with a few...

    Hand made twin spins

After re-doing a Shannon twin spin I've been thinking about coming up with one of my own versions using the poison tail mold and weedless football molds. I cut the wire loops from some forms I had on hand and taped them in so they would stay in place. Probably need to make the arms shorter but...

    A few buck tail jigs

Been tying quite a few lately with fall approaching. Caught some nice bass river fishing late winter/early spring this year with buck tails.
