Those are my standards, too, for cod fishing in rather deep water. Love to use them on a "dead" rod, just dangling in the rod holder while the kayak ist drifting and rocking them a little. This often gets me the biggest fish of the day while having a coffee break. I tie them rather long, too, and even a bit skinnier since we have no pork rinds over here to tip them with.
I´m planning to make a first attempt at sea bass this summer, so I find that very interesting. Can I ask in what kind of water you are fishing those stripers, and how exactly you fish for them?
In case you wonder, I live in a world with no hair jigs in it , and all I know is from John Skinner`s youtube bucktail videos and the great guys in this forum. :icon14:
