Melt had posted about looking for a small Egg sinker mold. This is an Old cast iron Palmer 453 - because both size's are under 1/2oz they cannot be used in Vermont.

Used to use either nails or pieces of coat hanger = once the lead hardened you'd pull the nails or coat hanger then open and pull out by the sprues.

I did the wire clothes hanger thing before also,lol.Made some fancy ones with looped ends to grab easy.

Thinking of buildin' a furnace to melt some aluminum cans and cast me a custom sinker mold. Just need to build the furnace and get some sand. Be neat to cast my own sinker mold.
