Set a new personal best on my first cast this afternoon! 17 inch black off the same tree I caught a 16.5 inch white last year. 1/16-oz minnow head pink duck jig under a slip cork. She was full of eggs, so I slid her right back in after a few pics. No more than three minutes later, my buddy...

First up are a few 3/8-oz bucktails...

I finally got around to tying a pattern I have been drooling over for awhile. I changed a few items from the original, due to my needs and what I had on hand. They turned out pretty well, I think! These are #4 octopus hooks...

I had to try some Auto jigs. LedHead's 1/32-oz footballs full of buggy rubber legs just beg big bluegills to munch on them. It took a couple to get proportions right, but I think I've got it now. Gonna give these guys a run soon!

So I picked up a few items at the grocery store on my way home from work tonight, and noticed the new In-Fisherman Panfish annual was in so I snagged it too. Thumbing through and skimming some articles, I see Sonny's name in an article on big bluegills! CONGRATS on making the bigtimes!

Had some new materials for awhile now, and some ideas for them. Just had to put "pen to paper" so to speak. Not exactly what I have envisioned, but we're gonna get there.... #10 scud hook, twisted wire body, some Senyo's Shaggy Dub for the "hackle".....

Tied these guys up this morning between services at church... they are the 1/48-oz "mean minners" from Crazy Angler. I think a big bluegill or two might try chewing on these!

Caught this guy last night. The rod handle is 6 inches, for reference.

Had to replace what I have been using a lot lately..... simple, and look great in the water.

They just plain WORK. Pink 1/16-oz minnow head, mallard flank with silver holo flashabou... the bluegill in the middle is a solid 7.5" or so fish.

I had a crappy day at work.... got a pizza on the way home and tied some crappie jigs to unwind. Got three of each of these done up.

Has anyone actally fished these satin jigs much yet?

I am REALLY liking these walleye heads I got from CAT! These are 1/8-oz.... going to give them a run tomorrow. Whatcha think?
