Shore fished for a small bass and a carp. Hit a BS on 2lb test.

Should have checked the weather - wind was up. Fishable til the shockers showed up. Looks like they were keeping very large BGs. Went to the other side - they did too - so I left. 69F water - mostly 16 FOW. All on the BS Chub and Reptile Auto - EC lil Nasty hooks - 100% hook ups today. Started...

While back - started to fish in Costa Rica. Was in contact with a flyfishing guide to fish the Rio Sevegre and he was telling #4 spinners would work. Found he didn't know squat about in-line spinners. Luckily we brought along some #1 bass pro Roostertail knock offs.... You can change out hooks...

Finally got out - taking some family out tomorrow. Found a few in deeper water 25 - 27 FOW, surface water temp ~66F. Used EC lil Nasties - I still like them and they stuck these BGs pretty good.

This came from Ca - not sure if it's US made or if it was made specifically for fly tying. It was represented as a fly tying vise.

Finally rounded up a wire bending lot. Uncle Grump has first whack at this; Spare parts for the benders come from an old Thompson lot. Thompson's bender is similar to the Bogg's bender. A lot of the parts are inter-changeable. Cabela's bender + spare parts = $50+ shipping Herters I + spare...
