One-quarter of an ounce ball heads with #1 hooks. Did a little powder painting this evening and tied a swim jig.

Used a product called Triple Thick to coat the gray heads. I like its ease of use and the resulting finish.

Never bass fish but could see some sacs on the grey n oranges swimming post spawn black river water in a sliiiiightly smaller size. You've got to teach me the eyes! Wonderful work Pup. Kudos.

Thank you all for your comments. :)

I really look forward to fishing the finished jig. If only today wasn't going to be the warmest day of the year in my area. :(

Oh well, off to painting and to tie up some more... ;)

Thank you AF. :) These particular brown and orange hair jigs are my favorites to tie for fishing river smallmouth.

Thank you very much AZ. :)

Here's one more photo of a 1/8-oz. version of the brown jigs for smallmouth bass. This one's a little different as it has a different jig head color. I call it "plum brown". My wife calls it "rum raisin".

I've found that I can create two pretty nice-looking brown colors by combining black, red, and yellow powder paints sold by Harbor Freight.

With three pounds of these powders, costing a total of about 15 dollars, I can mix enough brown powder paint to last my lifetime.

I had better continue to enjoy creating jigs for smallmouth bass fishing...lol ;)
