My first real attempts at thread neck bucktails... these are 3/8 or 1/2-oz. The plan is to use these for casting to wipers, whites, and maybe a walleye or two. What ya think??? (If something sucks, tell me!) I tied em at a buddy's house, and forgot to bring my clear nail polish... just had some that was loaded with purple glitter, so that is what is on the thread necks!

Don't know if you will like this but I tie some of mine leaving a buck tail collar like a lion mane next to the head . Just has a band of thread tied in the center of the collar like a skirt band . If it is uneven I use a pair or nose hair trimmers to even it up . Less thread less tying time and kinda cool looking . Just clear coat the thread . Those look just fine first attempt or not .

Purple is good for 'Eyes! You should do well. First one with the yellow/red head is my favorite. ;)
