Winter crappie jig

I made some of these for my local lake ..... they usually like smaller jigs in winter, and this year they seem to want dark ones.

These are 1/32 oz Shad Dart jigs with #4 Bronze Sickle Hooks
a touch of black Marabou under a Grizzly rooster hackle with salt and pepper flash.

It looks like I was lazy and didn't paint the head, but it is coated with Baitfish from Crazy Angler ..... clear with small glitter and looks better than in the pic.

And yes, that is #5, maybe should have used #3 for that small of a jig tho!

Excellent jig - i have some of the Baitfish paint and know it does look great just on a plain head. Lots of sparkle. Need some of that TexToast one of these days too.
