Winding Cards

Hello,
I came across some yarns that I could use for fly and jig tying, but the bulky skeins are getting in the way. I was wondering if anybody knows of a source for the winding cards (like the ones used for chenille). Any information would be helpful.

Just get some cardboard and cut it into an eye shape with fatter middle. On skeins one of the buys went to one of the arts and crafts store and got the plastic racks for like carpet edging materials holders and uses that.

It would take some looking to find it here on the board but maybe who use's it will sound off!!

search for yarn or knitting bobbins.

you can also search for floss bobbins..

Go to any fabric store,make nice with one of the ladies there, and Id bet she's let you have their left over bolt holders...

The floss bobbins are a bit too small.

The bolt holders might work, I'll have to check into that.
