Why dont they make it?

I am wondering a question for you guys here... If for tying flies you tie in a lead barbell... why don't they make a jig with a barbell shaped head?... Cuz that sounds like a good idea to me?... I dunno just curious.

That,s food for thought . Might make tying the head a little bit more tricky. Couldn't say. What size barbell would you be wanting . Actual dimension not weight . Might put that on my weird experiment list when a knarley chili dog keeps me up all night.

Why not just call a fly with dumbbell eyes a jig and use it? What, to you, is the difference in a jig and a fly?

No I'm just saying it seems it would make it easier having a jig with a dumb bell head... since you would be skipping the step of tying it in?... i was just curious
