I love the look of bead-chain "eyes" on a wet fly pattern. Has anyone ever tried to powder-paint bead-chain?

Yeah but it can be a real pain!! If you try it you'll have to cut them in six inch lengths or less depending on your cure rack - or make some hooks out of wire to hold them up

I painted a bunch of Fishhunter's 1/24th oz recessed eye heads, put eyes in for the first time ever, then coated them w/ epoxy last weekend. Came out nice.

Also made pill heads from round balls from a video on the home page. That was easy and a cool trick to learn.

I'll try to get a pix up but work & family's keeping me busy.

Had some left over Chenille that was too short to do anything with. Thought about throwing away, but I really hate wasting material. I know it looks weird. Maybe I should call it Austin. haha
