BREAKING FISHING NEWS!!!--
Mike Phua of Sun Country Marine in Ontario California is pre fishing for a bass tournament this weekend on Lake Havasu in Arizona.He landed a red ear that weighed 5.7 on a digital scale. After the fish was in a livewell for 7 hours they got the fish to a certified scale. The fish had an official weight of 5.47 pounds, just a hair shy of the current world record redear (also landed at Lake Havasu in 2011) that weighed 5.55 pounds.

Wow, that redear is huge. That one has to go on the wall. He might have had a world record if he would have taken it in sooner. I'd be happy with one half that size in weight.

That thing is huge! I love catching big redears. They fight like no other. The lake on our old family farm was full of monster redears. The Missouri state record is a little shy of 3 pounds and I came close to breaking it a handful of times.
