Wet Fly box half done

Trust me Doc I'm thinking about it.

I really do like that last pattern with the blue feather overlay at the end of tying it, since I don't have that type feather I'm thinking of using a peacock neck feather - would be blueish/green, just wouldn't trail as far back as the one he tied in the video. The only other think that bugs me about it is he says the dubbing is Kingfisher Blue and the SLF KB dubbing I have is WAY brighter than what he uses. but we'll see!!!!!!!!!

I need to get some subsurface flies tied and that last video has me ready to try that one..:) I'm not much of a wet fly fisherman but need to start using em more.

Stump I use 8-9 of the old Ray Bergman wet flies but I've been using some of the soft hackle wet flies - with all the colors of feathers you need to tie them though it gets crazy!!! I really don't want to deal with dying feathers. For some really cool ties check out this site http://donaldnicolson.webplus.net/ Don is a really good guy to talk to.

Well Doc ask and you will receive!!!! I didn't have the dyed feather he had so I used a Peacock neck feather

Sure will!!! I really do need some dun colors in the box so those may be next. but I need to get some spinner bodies painted up so they'll wait.
