Which usually gets me into trouble. LOL:D Anyway our mothers have gone home, and the fish cooker is cleaned for next time, so why not spin a couple.:jig: Soooo I thought I would try my first spinner, and found out that it is not for the lite hearted. The whip finisher didn't cooperate very well, so I did it the old fashioned way. What do ya'll think?

Looks great... The eye looks exactly like some metallic purple nail polish I have. I thought about making a whip finisher cuz it looks like just a handle with some wire, maybe I'll try that tonight. Good job Jig man!

Thanks Mack. A whip finisher probably wont be that hard for you to build. It did take awhile for me to learn how to use it correctly. LOL And probably with more practice it can be used on a spinner style jig, or you could tape the spinner out of the way. I just went the easy way and thru a couple of half hitches by hand and put some head cement on it. It should stay together unless I hang a big old cat like Rad. did....And by the way, the eyes are black and the head is a Flo. pink... I guess it looks burnt orange because of the football... :-)

That looks good JM. One thing I do when tying horseheads is, I'll get a small piece of tape and tape blade to the top of the head to get it out of the way. You can whip finish then, you just have to go slow.

Jig looks great but do like Ron Don and put blade on last. Like he says it keeps the blood pressure down. Someone almost had to hold a gun to my head to get me to tie road runners until I started putting blade on after tying. That half a crane swivel is a lot easier to work around without the split ring and blade hanging from it.
