I am looking to get a bunch of old soft plastic baits to melt down. If you have baits that are shredded and ripped I'll take them off you hands. I am designing and testing some soft plastic baits and would like to use old cheap material before producing the real ones after my designs have been perfected. I pour round head jigs 1/32 to 1/4 ounce, Make nice bass jigs and bass sized spinnerbaits. I would be willing to trade a few of my lures for whatever you have. I just don't want to waste good plastic on prototypes.
Thanks

Welcome to the site yakfish. Are you the same user that is on the Ohio forum? Name looks familiar.

You missed out on my stash. I go through my tackle bags around end of March when i start going crazy to get out and fish. Threw away a large bag of them this year - but many were pretty gunked up and nasty. I use more hair than plastic now-a-days but will throw stuff aside into a junk bag as the season goes.

I may get rid of a bunch of my remelts coming up fairly soon. I reuse some of it when I cook up new batches but it gets to a point where the remelts take up too much space. Right now I have 3 large rubbermade containers full of my stock colors. Biggest problem is shipping the stuff can get pricey. Can't get a whole lot in a $5 box.

I'm sure we can work something out. Too bad I don't live closer to Louisiana. Sounds like you have exactly what I'm looking for. I think a medium Priority flat rate box might hold a descent amount of plastic. If I remember correctly they ship for around $11-$12. if you fill one of those. I could send you $30-$40 worth of baits (Weedless bass Jigs, Spinner Baits, Jig Heads, sinkers, ect) in return if that sounds fair to you?

I have been out of town this past week, and just got home tonight. I found a priority flat rate box full of soft plastics waiting for me when i got here. Im not sure who sent them or if it was even from someone on this forum. I would like to find out who to thank for them and what color spinnerbaits and bass jigs they want in return for them. Let me know if your zip code is 50138.
Thanks!

If you want to ship a lot of used plastic . melt it and pour it in loaf pans . Ship the chunks or slabs that way .
