Did some tying with crosscut strips over the past few nights. I hope I can try these out this weekend!

I use the standard 1/8" crosscuts. Tie in at the back of the shank, wrap about halfway up and tie off. Then I wrap the thread back over the leather part to smash it down as much as possible. I used to end up with jigs with a big fat lump in the butt until I figured out I could layer the chenille on the uncovered part of the hook shank before wrapping the body.

Felt really dumb when it finally dawned on me!

Those look great! I'm just trying my hand at fur but not being very successful. I don't suppose anyone would take the time to create a step-by-step slide show on using zonkers, strips & other hair types? That'd sure be helpful.

Thanks. Pink and white works really well around here, and bubble gum has to be my favorite pink new age chenille.
