Vise question

Got a call from a friend about a vise that is for sale , it's only 6 months old . It's a HMH SX Pedestal , with a set of micro jaws that go with it , has only had about a dozen flies tied in it . Lost intrust in tying . I don't know anything about the HMH vises , other than they are expensive . We have not discussed a price at this point . But I do have first dibs if I want it . My buddy said it looks like it has never been used . Looking for opinions on the vise , thanks Quint .

The SX has a fixed angle frame which I don't like. IMO the HMH straight barrel rotary design is better served with the adjustable next upgrade Spartan model.

Ditto Hj. Depends on what kind of deal you can get. HMH is a real good vise.

Being only 6 months old, he's probably gonna try and get brand new price. I've never heard anything bad about HMH, alot of guys seem to like them, so it's gonna come down to how much it's gonna cost you.
