Venison Meatloaf.....

My buddies, usually fill up my freezer with ground vension..and in turn, I make them all venison meatloafs as a Thank You Gift...they sure are good !!!...And...I love making them !!!

Yes Mary Lou I think that you need to post a Recipe for that. I am with Fatman I want to dive right in and hurt myself on that.

Thanks Guys for the compliments....Here's the receipe...

Ground Venison...2pounds

One small onion diced
One small Bell Pepper diced
Two eggs...
One fourth cup oatmeal...
One fourth cup milk..
Season to taste with Garlic..Pepper..Salt..

Combine venison with mixture..,mold by hand, place in cast iron skillet...take catsup and cover entire top with a generous amount !!...

Bake in 350 oven..for 30--40- minutes...juices will start to flow, and it will smell delicious, when done !!!...

I serve it with , real mashed potatoes...fresh carrots..and a salad...

My wife doesn't cook much red meat - which is probably better off for both of us in the long run - but as other have said........ the sight is making my heart go pitter patter. :p Need myself a midnight snack now.

On the rare occasion that we do make meatloaf, your recipe is very similar. Oatmeal instead of the traditional bread crumb and a pinch (or 2) of brown sugar mixed into the katsup.

Cast iron makes EVERYTHING better. :cool:
