V.A. Tournament

Well guys I'm off to help with My Veterans fishing tournament where I volunteer at the retirement home . Get you some pics of my guys fishing . They are 70 80 90 years old . I even taught fishing tackle classes for a year there every week end . Wish my team luck we want the big fish trophy.

Glad your involved with them. I take tying stuff to the VA home every other month or so and let them tye, Usually I have 3 set-ups and there busy the whole afternoon.

Here are our pics one pic is of the tackle making. We didn't get the big fish award . One of the guys that could do for his self managed to get a 5 lb cat . We got a 2.5 bass, the kicker was it was on a lure the guys made.

Those guys caught fish until some fell asleep in their chairs . Got the turtle on worms . The bass on minnows . one big ole crappie bout 14 '' . 5 or so lb catfish . More dang perch than I had time to count . It only lasted 2 hrs. During that time I saw guys that could not remember their family take a real from my hand look at it a little while and then out of the blue ZING they casted that sucker Like they were 20 again . Ya know what? I think for a moment in time they were . Today God blessed me .They are not just residents or patients . They are my friends.
