I use the tips of the marabou for the tail of course, then just twist and wrap what's left of the feather. Stem and all. The gold wire helps to hold it together.
Do a half hitch at the head . Leave a tag end to attach a swivel and blade . I remember something like that many many years ago . Can tell ya . Your jig will work especially with the gold wire.
Love em. I tie em alot, but use two. I forgot who it was thAt did the tutorial on here but I've been using em since with great success. Never tried the wire though. Thx fir sharing.
I haven't had a chance to try any of my ties out yet. Too cold around here for my old bones. I'm afraid I'll have to wait till next Spring. I should have an ample amount of jigs tied up by then.
Lost Pole,
I used to bundle up and go when I was younger. Besides, the low temperature here this weekend is supposed to be 7 above. That's 7 above zero not 7 above freezing. If it does get that cold, I'm afraid my jigs will bounce when they hit the water.
