I used to post jigs on another forum and they gave me a lot of grief because I like a longer tail on my jigs. The girls don't seem to mind. One of them had two threadfin shad in her.....

Those are CHUNKS! If that's what long tails pay out...... i must tie mine way too short - i'd be lucky if i had 2 in my lifetime that were maybe close to that size. Stock up while you can.

Ron, the shad were around 4 inches long, full grown, and they were both in the same fish. I shoulda taken a better picture but I was tored. Them rocks a killers on an old man, makes me think more about a yak.

Thanks for the comments, soon as this front passes gonna hit em again. Roger the younger fish are still on schedule, around the end of the month, but the older ones usually do the deal earlier. Its lookin like maybe two weeks out.... Could be the year for another three pounder, we'll see
