I have a cheap set that I tried that won't cut better!! I do believe they will help with cleaning up a tail without making the tail look straight.

I used to use siscors like that at work every day cutting hair. The cheapest ones you'll find at a department store are not worth it. I would say eather look for a dog gromers pair or go to Sally's and buy a $20 dollor pair to try. Look for a really thin set of teeth set closer together for a soft cut. Also close the blades over the material then drag them out towards the tail so you can see how much came out. Like my old boss said it not about what you take off. Is what you leave behind.
