Think I've finally figured out thread necks

I usually tie thread necks with rabbit strips, and I've always had issues with lumpy, misshapen necks. I think it was due to trying to cut the strip too close to the head. I backed off a little bit and was able to get nice neat wraps on these. I use crosscut strips, but the bottom one also has a zonker tail. Plan on trying more when I get more colors. I've got half a dozen full hides on order from that place Fatman posted the links from.

Those rabbits are sweet. Gotta try some one day. And the necks look uniform. I thank stars n moon for chenille bc I cldnt wrap a chain around an oak on it's side evenly.
I like the brights.

KISS single color crosscut ties my preference too. Your thread wraps look perfect.

Think that you got it nailed down tight. Good ties the Char. head, Char. tail , Black thread and green flash well. Get the fryer ready suppers on the way.
