Yea Rad, he's a channel... Wound up with six. Only three crappie that were short, guess the barometer had um messed up. North wind blew thru hard when I first got there, but calmed down around seven... My bride is in jail this weekend, so its gonna be fishing and eating fish for me...

Wow, 6 kitties on jigs is a great day! They pull a bit harder than crappie, you think?

Your woman like mine - doesn't care to eat fish?

You bet, they pull a bunch harder than crappie, especially when they weight close to three lbs. My bride likes to eat crappie, but doesn't care much for the slick skinned fish. In our area the water runs to the murky side so they have a little different taste to um... But I grew up eating them, so bring it on!!! Since she likes the crappie thats about all I fish for any more. I guarantee, I could fill up the freezer if I would string out a line with fifty hooks, grab my cast net and bait it with cut shad... They are bitting good right know!!!

Channel cats are usually a pleasant surprise to me. Often, they hit jigs hard and do put up a good tussle.

I guess that I miss eating at catfish fries the most. I loved the nuggets. ;)
