That's to the point alright! When I was working as a locomotive engineer, we were going into New Orleans after Katrina. I saw a sign that said "Looters Will Be Shot--Survivers Will Be Shot Again". I don't think they had any problems.

There is a sign south of me on Shoal Creek which reads pretty much the same! It says "Don't even think about trespassing". "You will be shot, survivors will be shot again". This guy needs to also realize the creek does not belong to him. An attorney as well. Go figure! His driveway is often littered with beer bottles after a weekend, which is wrong, but lose the attitude fella!

When I first visited the "mainland" 10 yrs. ago I was surprised that public fishing access was so restricted due to private property. In Hawaii there is a different attitude:

The public has a right of access to and along all beaches and shorelines in the State situated below the "upper reaches of the wash of the waves." HRS Secs. 115-4 & 115-5

The right of access to Hawaii's shorelines includes the right of
transit along the shorelines. [L 1974, c 244, §4; am L 1991, c 37, §2]
