Those do look nice! Any luck with them yet?

Sounds like the 'eyes are really starting to come in heavy on 1 river over here and a few reports from the other. Now if i could just get a chance to drive up there! :dodgy:

Those are sweet. Wouldn't never thought to do that. Is that a common pattern? Way cool.
Did you ever get a new vice?

Quint very nice ties. Have been busy as Nephew Freddie has been here for the last week and we have been out on the lake almost every day chasing crappies and catch some nice cats. Haven't been doing any tying as we are using all the jigs that I got tied thur the winter. And we have been doing a better job than most on catching also. Will post some pictures soon.

The jigs that you tied will do well with the Eyes. My opinion is that they will be great in the clearer water, You have caught on fast and I don't know how much more instruction that you will need. As far as the Texas part I moved down here to get away from the cold weather other wise part of my heart will always will be in Iowa. That style to my knowledge was developed in Iowa and should be know as Rock-a-Roo style.

Fatman those are a custom head the hooks on them are #2 Mustad 9671 4x long viking perfect bend forged flat. To bad that they are no longer made. The custom head is from a blank made by Jim Stone. From lack of a better name I will call it the Rock-a Roo head. That head and hook combo will hook and hold just about any toothy creature that swims. And you can bet your sweet bibpy on that.
