FM....what are your thoughts on blending the satin. Example: back is black and move colors down the side vs a blend of one color as above. Do you think there will be a difference on the water catching crappies.
Also when you are pulling out the satin are you using any of the "non-shine" threads. I am pulling the material in on direction and using mainly the shine threads for the wool jigs but I have been working on using the other side of material for tail material.

Very nice. I tried satin down the back on one I tied to mimic an emerald shiner. It looked great, but once I tried it in my test tank ( aquarium ) the satin on the back tangled into an awful mess from the hook barb. Haven't tried any on the back after that.

Plate - truthfully I really don't know but I thought it looked good. I need to post that exact question on the non-shiny threads in the big thread on Reds jigs. I posted a white wool tie on a minnow head and I did use the non-shiny blue fibers under the white satin strips - Also posted the jig in the big thread to get a read on it.

BK - Again if you look in the big thread post #136 which shows pics of some of Reds actual ties you'll see them with alot of satin and I think it's sparkle flash but don't know if red ever had tehat problem. Gonna have to post your's and plates questions over there.
