I need a small table for pouring lead. I live in an apartment, so I plan on pouring out on my deck. I need a small, sturdy table that I can pack away.

I looked at camp tables, but most of them seem to have tabletops that are either slotted (bad), made out of thin pressboard (probably not good) or plastic (drips would go through like a hot knife through butter.)

Then I discovered the tables made for dutch ovens:

I think it would stand up to the heat OK in case of accidental spills since they're made to handle hot briquettes. They also have a lip on them just in case the pot dumps its contents (I have a production pot IV so there's only a small amount of lead in it.)

However, they run around $80-$100 so if anyone can suggest something that would work and cost less I'm all ears.

Been there. I´d get a sturdy plastic one and put/clamp a cheap plate of plywood on top.

Burns are usually only superficial. I was about to say a plate of metal but on second thought, if you heat that up with a little spill or a hot ladle and then touch it, thats worse than wood. I´d go with an extra plate of wood.

I build my pour area work tables with scrap 2x4s & plywood from construction sites, tho they don't "pack away". Thrift shops & yard sales often have worn out baking pans or sheets for a topper.

Singer sewing machine frames like the one we use for our kitty table? I've seen em lying around at abandoned settlement and dump sites. Garage sales, thrift shops, scrap yards... Don't take up much space.

You can just sit the pot on a big cookie sheet and sit that on pretty much anything. I do that sometimes when the weather is nice.
