A creepy crawler for bass.



Materials:

• Eagle Claw 249WA-1/0 hook
• Boot lace
• Small dumbbell eyes - unknown weight
• Lion Brand Suede - Coffee
• LashMax Eyelash Yarn - Caffeine
• Coats Trilobal Polyester Thread (40-wt.) - Chona Brown

Total length is about 3.5 inches.

Sweet! Can't get many more apendages than that. With all those legs.... i would bet stop-n-go with that bait will be a winner, should have some excellent movement.

Are you palmering the eyelash yarn after you make the body on the boot lace?

If it is a leather boot lace - may have to let it soak up the water a few seconds before trying to cast it.

That looks great. Mustad makes a hook like that I thinks its a 3369w but I'll check for sure

Looks kind of like those things you dip in stink bait for catfish. Bet it would hold a lot of scent.

No. I'm palmering as I tie the body. I pin it to the yarn with my thumb and fingers. I want the eyelash yarn to be recessed between wraps of chenille.

I hope that it'll look good. My experience with LashMax is that it has pretty good movement with lift-drop, drag-pause, or as AF mentioned, stop-n-go retrieves. I tie a LashMax/craft fur ball head jig that worked pretty well for largemouth bass late this fall. So, I have some hope for this one.
