Tied these all-black tail spinners for fishing on cloudy days and in roiled waters. Each jig has a size 0 Colorado blade attached to a swivel by a split ring. The swivel is connected by black upholstery thread to the hook shank. Both weigh approximately 1/16 of an ounce and have #4 Aberdeen hooks.

LashMax eyelash yarn is tied in as the "skirt" in place of traditional silicone. Hope to field test these at my local reservoir on cloudy days or when stiff winds are traveling in from the west/southwest. The winds will roil the inshore waters in many areas, providing turbid conditions for field testing the jigs. Black lures often do well under these conditions.

Oh heck yeah - those are gonna catch some fish in dirty water....... clean water too!!! Love me some black. By my guesstimate, you have the skirt and blade size perfect, no fouling or rolling. :icon14: Those colorado blades make for some nice wake baits and you can slooooooooow roll them too. Just watch for them rolling and twisting your line if you run them fast as waker's. ;)

Recently got some of the teardrop heads in the 1/16 & 1/8 size - need to get creating.

Bust'em baits for sure. If you hit some clear water put a couple Orange strands down the sides . There is a big pond I get to fish now and then if I beg really hard . It has Oreol nests all around it . When one of those little birds hits the water Those big ole bass just explode on it . Had one knock a spinner mait made similar to your jig 10 ft. straight up in the air . At first I thought some one had chunked a rock over the bank at me until I saw the bait fall . No bull just fact . Scared the sh*** out of me.

Thank you for your comments Everyone. :)

These are really simple to tie and do catch fish. I reduced the blade sizes down from a 1 to either 0 or 00 as was recommended by AF, FM, and JJ1 in my other post about Tail Spinners. Since then, I've caught several bass and crappie on a green chartreuse version with a size 00 silver Colorado blade.

Here are two more that are for clearer water conditions on cloudy days. This time, I used silver willow leaf blades.

Thanks for your comments Everyone. :) The willow leaf blades have a tighter, faster rotation. Hammered blades reflect light at many different angles. Hope it works. ;)

Both sets are seriously great. Gotta get some of that yarn. Diameter wise, how big ya figure it is?

Great stuff, Pup
Thanks Adam. The diameter of this particular yarn (Premier LashMax) is about 1/16th of an inch.
