Ok I need some help I will show 2 photos that should show how I am doing this but I need a better way of clamping as I am using a 6in clamp and well it gets in the way I need to find a better way to clamp this grub or plastic back.

No clamp.


With clamp


Now if I could find a way to clamp it with a 1/2in or less then tying the tail would be a lot easier.

Those are sweet. Check out the Bulldog clamps. You will find some like you want I have a set I use for hackle pliers that are 2 1/2''. I put heat wrap on the tips to protect the materials.

I got the Bull Dog clamp in today and its not going to do the job no clamping power on the hook so looks like sticking to the forceps are the way to go.

I was afraid of that. They looked like "beefed-up" tweezers. Now if they'd come up with a "locking" Bulldog clamp, That'd be the ticket!
