Here are a couple more jigs with soft hackle. When I first got into tying with different materials I went and got a bunch of stuff and I got some grizzly soft hackle and it didn't take long to figure out I got the wrong stuff as I wanted dry fly type hackle that had barbs that stuck out. Well, not wanting waste the material I made a few ties and I kind of liked how it looked so I put some jigs in my box and tried them out and what I discovered was the jigs with it caught fish but when I saw the jig in the water I knew I was going to use it a lot because it has such a fluid motion in the water resembling fins and gills, that was enough for me I've been sold on it since and here are some new ones. The top jig is a 1/16oz walleye head painted shad gray, it has white bucktail and silver flash for the tail and then a body made with arctic ice chenille and finished off with a collar of white grizzly soft hackle. The bottom jig is a 1/8oz minnow head painted shad gray with a black back, it has a tail of black and white bucktail blended with silver flash and a body of black pearl chenille finished off with the white grizzly soft hackle collar.
