Snootie JIgs with the correct colors

I first have to thank Hunter 7711 for the powder paints I bought from him. I finally found a color among all that powder paint that finally matches my dragonfly skirts. I have been looking for a long time and the colors look better in real life than in the pics. The pic on the left shows the jigs without the skirt, pic on right is skirted. These are some of the bass jigs I made for my 16 year old nephew.

Hunter 7711, BTW is that a mixed color you made or is that store bought?????

Love those snooties. I would say it took some work to match that skirt color! The colors sure do pop, should be seen from a good distance underwater.

You know how he plans to fish that? I would almost bet that will be a swim style pig with maybe a big ol' 5 inch grub or bright ribbon worm trailer. Looks like a reaction bait to me.

Attica, yes I am trying to teach him how to fish it as a swim jig. The problem he has is that he has no patience, maybe because he is young. He will cast it out and then reel the jig in 100 mph. He doesn't give it a chance to fall to the botttom and slowly reel it back, but that is just lack of experience and confidence. He always expects bone jarring strikes from a bass and sometimes you just have to entice them a bit to get a bite. He will eventually learn. He and I fish it with a big grub like you said or a craw trailer like a chunk or a rage tail.

Really great looking jigs, and I think they match really well.
I wouldn't feel bad about the patience part though..I see people all the time crying the blues about no Flounder, but they don't leave their jigs hit bottom either.

I'm sure he's going to love them.
