Here are some of the " hair" jigs I've been doing as the summer begins to approach. I haven't been tying to much hair as most of what I'm making is regular bass jigs with all silicone but I love doing this style too and it is a common one for summer smallies as the silicone adds action and bulk but the jig still have that natural fluid movement of the hair that makes it that much better. The jig on the left is a 1/8oz weedless round head jig painted green pumpkin, it has dark watermelon bucktail tied in as the underbody with green pumpkin bio-silk silicone skirt material tied over top and finished off with green melon skirt material for an extened collar. The jig on the right is a 1/8oz weedless round head painted brown, it has an underbody of brown bucktail with bio-silk silicone in coffee color tied over top and finished off with bluegill skirt material as an extended skirt.

Nice work smalljaw. I'm partial to the watermelon/pumpkin, great smallie colors for my favorite upper James River haunts from my youth.

If you take out the blue color from the one on the right, you'll have the jig a buddy of mine got a 21" on your waters.
