Yes, another jig rises from the scrap bucket for the viewing pleasure of a tight lipped smallie!!! This one is a 1/16oz ball jig with a size #2 sickle hook and is painted watermelon. The tail is a dark olive rabbit strip surrounded by medium olive UV2 Marabou with a few strands of pearl flashabou on each side, and finished off with rootbeer cactus chenille. I got the rootbeer cactus chenille at a friend's request for his crappie jigs that were copperhead and had brown hackle tails and I really didn't think too much of it. I now got to admit that I really like how it looks with the watermelon head and olive marabou, I'm betting it would work on green pumpkin also, it seems to have the right amount of contrast with that color.

Be hard for a hungry smallmouth to turn that down. :jig:

I use rootbeer cactus chenille for both woolly boogers and jigs. W.buggers w/ gold cone heads, that chenille, and white tail works great in my river when the fish are keying in on minnows and chubs.
