Rum Raisin Bottom Bugs

Tied these up early this evening. Used suede leather to form appendages. Painted the heads with a "rum raisin" powder paint mix.



Materials:

• Two 1/8-ounce jig heads with #2 red hooks
• Harbor Freight Powder Paint Mixture - black, red, white (2:4:1 ratio)
• Coats & Clark Trilobal Polyester Thread (40-wt.) - chona brown
• UTC Ultra Thread (140 denier) - rusty brown
• Tandy Leather Factory Suede Remnant - light rusty brown
• Darice Craft Fur - brown

That would make a good copy of a pumpkinseed split-tail grub i had used for years in the river with great success..... honestly had forgotten about it till just now. :jig:

You are after my own heart Pup!!! Those right there are fantastic smallmouth jigs and would work in both lakes and river, the color is a perfect late spring craw color, nicely done and the leather work is extraordinary!!!
