I was cleaning out the closet and found a tackle box. Inside were a good many old jigs that had been used and the bou in bad shape or carried around untill most of the paint was chipped. Would they still fish? Probably, but why not dress um up a little. Some were purchased at the local hardware store, or mail ordered from Bass-Pro somtime during the seventies. First step remove the old material and paint.

Great find - little dip in vinagar to take off the lead glaze a rinse under water and dry. Run em through the paint cycle again and dress em up and they'll be ready to do battle again.

Step 2: What color/ combos go with ruby slipper? By the way, I didn't mention it, but this tackle box belonged to my dad. He crossed the river in '79....

Step 3:
The last place that I can remember dad and I fishing was a flood control lake. Its about a 100 acre lake on private property and the fishing there is excellant. The color of choice was red/black/white. So I thought that would be a good place to start.

Those jigs are antiques, there wasn't any sickles around back then. Nice tie,now go catch some slabs on it after making more just like it.
