These clear resin heads are from a local company, Squidgy, as an option for their soft plastics. The ones here are no4 hook but they do several sizes to around 3/0. All sized heads have this style of wide gape, shortish shank, heavy gauge hook.

The fall is tease-slow, specially when tied without the lead wire. They cast surprisingly well on light braid and a long rod _ when the tail's soaked (fly fisher's pain is our gain hey!). This one's marabou. Might try to tie some bigger ones with floaty bucktail for when some local Harbour meanies get all shut-mouth.
