I have only tried thread necks once before using squirrel for the tail... they came out OK..... but I thought I would try it again.....I used some of my new Teardrop heads in 1/16. Arctic fox, and some Wabbit along with some orange hackle and some flash. I think I could fool a wily Crappie or two with them....probably a big ole bluegill as well??

I am guessing that these Teardrops were made for thread neck type ties?? I have tried to do a couple with some chenille.....they just don't look right. I will have to tie some more of these up in some different colors, and try them out. The heads look like they would work well with some plastics as well.

Beautiful blend of colors! I have tied a few of the T-Drop heads and actually have only made threadnecks with them so far.

Like the jigs . Thread necks last longer too. Cause you can clear coat them . Plus adapting to size and Shape of the body. Can't always do that with chenille.
