Red Breested Sunfish

Found this on another forum..

Here's a pix of a red brested sunfish

It looks like the long ear sunfish here in Missouri. They don't get very big but are aggressive and will hit baits bigger than they are.

Out pull most any thing for their size..

Up here in Yankee country those are called pumpkinseeds.

Looks like a pumpkinseed to me thats what we called them in Iowa. Down here their all just Bream. Darn good eating if you ask me. Try some pickled some time very good.

Either a pumpkinseed, green sunny or hybrid.
